About me
I am a researcher in applied mathematics with interests in numerical analysis, finite element methods, and scientific computing. My work focuses on surface PDEs, phase-field models, and computational methods for problems arising in fluid dynamics and biomolecular systems.
I completed my PhD working with Maxim Olshanskii and Annalisa Quaini (advisors). My dissertation is available here.
The department nominated my dissertation for the University Outstanding Dissertation Award.
Much of my research studies interface dynamics, vesicle models, and reduced-order approaches for complex PDE systems, with emphasis on stability, accuracy, and computational efficiency.
Advising and mentoring
For me, it is especially important to work with young talents and help them grow, strengthen their skills, and reach their full potential. In the past, I have trained mathematics olympiad contestants. One of my students earned a gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad.
I currently work with university students, guiding them through advanced research areas, career decisions, and PhD opportunities. If you are a student at SDU University, feel free to bother me on campus, otherwise you may find usefull information through the link below.
